CONCERNING MATERIALS

I wanted to take photos all materials which I have at home to see what I have while thinking about what I will do next days.
     
         Let's see what I have and what I can make with these materials:

craft ropes
         I think craft ropes are always useful materials while doing d.i.y projects.

         Papers are the first thing which I thought. There are lots of papers at home such as craft, white, colored, pattern, toilet and towel, newspapers, magazines, books etc. I don't have any idea about papers yet, but I can consider it if it fits with my idea in next days.
                                         


         Cardboars and acetate papers have stronger form than paper. I can combine them with different materials easily.
I have lots of cardboards, these are a few of them.

All acetate papers which I have.
         I found lots of fabrics at home such as cotton, canvas, microfiber and felt. I thought about tailoring but it's not an idea I support for now.



         Moreover I thought about metals which I had at home, and I found these:
  • galvanized and copper wire
  • sheet copper
  • aluminium foil
  • screw
  • magnet
  • coins
  • cans        



         I have some ideas about magnet and screws, I think they are good materials to use.

         Wood was the second material which I thought about this project. I have dowel rod, white plywood, fiberboard, skewers, toothpick and pencils.

Dowel rods have a cylindrical shape. I think it's a good material to combine with different materials.




         Moreover I found lots of packages at home which I collected for a few months. I don't have a certain idea about them but they can be useful material anytime.





         And other materials which I can use during the project:
  • candle
  • soap 
           
  • glass bottles
  • styrofoam
  • straws
  • string lights
  • masking tapes
  • velcro
         There are a few more materials which could be useful. I will consider using them if they fits with my ideas.

SIXTH MOCK-UP

I've studied on some chess pieces taking into account my last sketches by using soap. First, I made a pawn and some geometrical shapes by cutting soap. Then I decided to use soap dough for the details of pieces. I thought that making a mold could be easy to make perfect shapes. Also this could be an easy way for people who do it themselves. I made it with a cardboard which is the package of something I bought before. I cut it into five parts, and I folded it. I put the soap dough inside. And it became a cardboard shape perfectly. I had lots of rectangles to use on pieces. I made a rook first. Then I made two different types of bishop. These are some photos of chessmen. Best regards..
