EIGHTH MOCK-UP

I've studied on chessmen taking into account my last mock-up  by using soap.         all chessmen:            - rook         - knight         - bishop         - queen         - king         other detailed photos        Best regards..

CHESSBOARD MOCK-UP I

I've made my first chessboard mock-up by using packages of shampoo and fabric softener bottles.            I think shampoo and fabric softener bottles are good materials to use for chessboard.            I cut them into two pieces firstly.            Then I made stripes from bottles.            And then I cut them as squares to have a chessboard by sticking them orderly.            Best regards..

SEVENTH MOCK-UP

I've studied on chessmen taking into account my last sketches by using soap.         all pieces together         pawn and rook         pawn and bishop         knight         pawn and queen                  other detailed photos         Best regards..

MORE SKETCHES III

I've sketched more taking into account sixth  mock-up. I've tried triangle forms. All chess pieces together. Best regards..

SIXTH MOCK-UP

I've studied on some chess pieces taking into account my last sketches by using soap. First, I made a pawn and some geometrical shapes by cutting soap. Then I decided to use soap dough for the details of pieces. I thought that making a mold could be easy to make perfect shapes. Also this could be an easy way for people who do it themselves. I made it with a cardboard which is the package of something I bought before. I cut it into five parts, and I folded it. I put the soap dough inside. And it became a cardboard shape perfectly. I had lots of rectangles to use on pieces. I made a rook first. Then I made two different types of bishop. These are some photos of chessmen. Best regards..

DISCOVERING A NEW MATERIAL: SOAP

I made five mock-ups last week, and I received a feedback to continue on fifth mock-up. After the sketches on Friday, I received a feedback about using soap. Thus, I tried to understand the characteristic of soap. I cut and carved soap firstly. It was harder than I expected. However, it's good to make big shapes. That's something I used on my forms, so I'll use cutting and carving. Then I heated a soap. It is something which I can use for sticking soaps. I tried to combine soap with toothpick, but soap is broken easily. While searching the characteristic of soap, we collaborated with my classmate Sevval Kale on zoom. We tried lots of things to see how soap works. Then we wondered to make a dough with soap. We grated soap. We mixed it with water. And we've achieved the perfect soap dough. It was much better than I expected. This dough can easily made, and I can shape it perfectly what I want. I am excited about using dough soap. Best r
